Cultural Analyst
Karleta Peterson is a DJ, event curator, cultural analyst, and one-fifth of the creative collective Unborn Sounds. Based in Seoul & New York, Karleta’s work on and off the decks focuses on connecting global communities through music while centering Black sonic traditions and cultures. Her latest project, Mean Black Hotties, is an event series and platform celebrating Black femmes in electronic dance music. She was previously a resident at Seoul mainstay Stoked & Stoned and has soundtracked events for Vans, Mixmag, and Don Julio.
Why you are excited about SXSW London 2025: The same event we know and love, but interpreted through the cultural lens and landscape of London! I cannot wait to experience how the SXSW London team has reimagined the festival, especially since all the tracks will occur during the same week. This is a cultural analyst’s dream!
