Julian Brimmers

Julian Brimmers is a writer, podcast & radio host, and filmmaker based in Cologne Germany. His writing on music and culture has been published in German and English-language outlets, including The Paris Review, The Creative Independent, Bandcamp Daily, Crack Magazine, POW, Die Zeit, and many more. From 2011-2018 he was a staff editor at Red Bull Music Academy and RBMA Radio. He’s the writer and co-director of the documentary feature “We Almost Lost Bochum” (2020). Currently, he’s the editor of COSMOS, an editorial platform and music community run by Le Guess Who? Festival (NL).

When it comes to emerging talent, London has always been the world’s greatest incubator. It’s about time that SXSW touches down in the UK, to give new voices an exciting and actually impactful platform in the most vibrant of music cities.
