Tess Kendall has over 20 years experience working within the independent music sector, starting out at the Glastonbury Dance tent in the very late ‘90s and on to the tour department for Ministry of Sound to travel the world. She went on to set up and run the award winning global Defected Records events business and artist booking agency, working with the cream of dance music talent. She made a move to Berlin where she worked !K7 Records in label and artist management with the likes of Tricky, Hercules & Love Affair and more. Now Managing Director, Marketing operations at one of UK's leading independent labels Ninja Tune Records. She has been at the label for 12 years where she is part of the senior leadership team and oversees bespoke global marketing campaigns for hugely successful artists such as Bicep, Young Fathers, ODESZA, Black Country, New Road, Bonobo, The Cinematic Orchestra, Maribou State and many more.
