Chuckie McEwan (she/they) is a film producer with 15 years’ experience in the field. Chuckie’s produced films have been selected at over 100 festivals internationally including BIFA, BAFTA and OSCAR qualifying film festivals. In 2024 Crusts was long-listed for best Short Film at the BIFAs. Chuckie has had two films funded by BFI Network, and was selected on BFI SW Hub’s inaugural Beyond Shorts scheme, she is also a BAFTA connect member.

In 2020, Chuckie co-founded Grey Moth Originals, which actively facilitates access routes for underrepresented filmmakers, by sharing production resources, hosting free of charge technical workshops, and offering paid placements on film sets to trainees. Grey Moth Originals has produced 20+ short films and one feature doc from this initiative to date.

Since 2023, Chuckie has spoken on various panels and hosted a number of industry events with partners such as: Girls In Film, BFI Network, Film Hub SW, BAFTA Connect, London Short Film Festival and BBC Comedy.
